What is an electrical
engineering contractor? The Electrical Contractors Association
(ECA) defines the work of its member contractors as those who
'design and install the electrical engineering services needed
in homes, schools, hospitals, factories, industrial plant and
commercial premises. These installations include traditional
power and lighting outlets together with complex high technology
control, security and data communications systems for automated
offices, industrial plant and environmental services.
David Sykes Electrical has been a member of the ECA since
1963 and is listed to carry out the following electrical activities:

- Domestic Work.
Our comprehensive service covers consultation, planning and
design, including the preparation of specifications and working
drawings. We liaise with architects, consultants, construction
contractors and the client, ensuring the highest standards of
design, installation and maintenance for both new and refurbished
projects.
On completion, a full test and inspection procedure is undertaken
before the installation is commissioned and finally handed over
with drawing and operating manuals as required. Equally, the
company will provide the same service for specified installations.
We can also provide a full maintenance and breakdown service,
using our Approved Electricians supplied with mobile telephones
to enable us to respond quickly to any request. We have fully
stocked stores and excellent relationships with our approved
suppliers that enable us to cope with most demands without any
problems or delays.
We have developed fully integrated in-house business systems
covering quotation, purchases, stock control, job costing and
design etc. which has added greatly to our ability to contain
office overheads, making it possible to give an efficient response
to customer's request at a competitive price.
